About SoCal Celebrants

We are a group of Certified Life-cycle Celebrants serving the needs of Southern California residents by creating unique, one of a kind ceremonies for life-cycle events.

What is a Celebrant?

Life-Cycle Celebrants® are graduates of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, located in Montclair, New Jersey. Through our seven-month, online civil celebrant certification program students are transformed into highly-trained ceremony professionals who are richly schooled in the art of ritual and ceremony. Our gold standard, college-level coursework ensures our graduates enter the field as master co-creators and performers of ceremonies that reflect the needs and beliefs of the people they are honoring.

Life-Cycle Celebrants® bridge generations by creating ceremonies that are a genuine expression of the honoree celebrated. Each ceremony is a unique reflection of personal rites of passage, transitions or celebrations. They are empowering testimonies of life that become treasured legacies to be passed down from one generation to the next.

how-it-works

How It Works

If you've never engaged a Celebrant before, here's a brief overview of how we assist you in creating the best possible experience for your celebration.

  1. Speak with you by phone to determine what services you need, location, and initial information (number of people, desired length, etc.)
  2. Exchange the contract and deposit (fee to be determined at this time)
  3. Meet with you and others significant to the event and begin work on the ceremony. (if distance prevents meeting, via phone and e-mail)
  4. We will write and send you a first draft of the ceremony
  5. You provide feedback on the draft and a second draft, if necessary, will be developed and sent to you
  6. The draft iterations will continue until YOU are satisfied with the ceremony as written
  7. Balance of fee due as determined by the contract
  8. We perform Your Ceremony and you have memories for a lifetime!
